About me

Emma

Hi! I’m Emma, I moved to Denmark in 2009 with my Danish husband. We have 2 lovely children who love to help me practice for each class, and come up with some great ideas! I worked as a teaching assistant and dance teacher in an international preschool in Gentofte for 5 years, before setting up Little Movers in 2016.

My aim, is to create a warm and inviting environment for all Little Movers who take part in the classes, sessions and workshops, to work at their own pace, to gain confidence in themselves, explore, awaken and enhance their imaginations, learn how we can work together, strengthen motor skills, improve agility, and have lots of fun along the way.

I have been dancing since I was tiny; ballet, tap, jazz, and later on contemporary. Dancing brought me so much joy as a child and still now as an adult, I love each of the different styles, they have given me a wonderful variation of skills and techniques and by taking a little from each style (note: no tap shoes are required!) I hope to create a fun, interactive, and engaging class where we can express ourselves through movement and dance.

I graduated from UCLAN, UK in 2001 with a degree in Contemporary Performing Arts, and have worked in different industries since. However, I love working with children and dance and movement has always been a part of my life, I feel privileged I am able to combine the two.

I'm very excited about what the future holds for Little Movers, and I'm especially looking forward to meeting and working with your little ones!
